Only a pence

The Open Rights Group (link to their site at right) today stated that the UK Intellectual Property Office’s new proposed addendum to UK copyright law for sound recordings (music, speeches, anything else that exists as sound) is patently absurd.

The proposed addendum, when melted down to its core shows that the vast majority of sound recording creators would recieve little more than .50 cent (about a dollar in US money) per year.

Can you live on a .50 cent per year? I know I’d starve the same day I received it.
