Bush signed IP enforcement bill

On Monday, George Bush signed the IP Enforcement Bill into law.

According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, several key items in the bill were removed. These items were:

1. The Justice Department filing lawsuit on IP infringers, thus acting as pro bono copyright lawyers.
2. Increased fines for file sharing.
3. An IP enforcement department of the federal government.
