Digital Copyright

You can’t have a website about law in cyberspace (among other things) without running across this book by Jessica Litman.

This book, while short at just over 200 pages includes information on the Home Audio Recording Act to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

After an introduction, this book goes through the history of copyright in the United States and how it was molded by content creators and publishers and then passed into law.

Clearly, the government should not have allowed the content creators themselves to create the copyright law, as a conflict of interest could result. And it did. Many times.

I feel that this book is a succinct way to get a grasp on the current problems in copyright law.
