We heard from Novell

In regards to yesterday’s post about the Novell/Microsoft thing about clearly defined Intellectual Property rights, I heard from Novell’s PR department which pointed me to the following website: Interoperability Website.

The PR agent told me that it mentions the ad I spoke of, and while it does, it doesn’t tell me a thing about the Intellectual Property rights thing.

If I recall Mr. Petreley’s rants on the subject, he was upset because it made it sound as though Novell was using proprietary Microsoft code in its product. Of course, I have no idea how accurate that claim is.

It still kinda makes me wonder, why would someone write ad copy that touts “clearly defined Intellectual Property rights”?
